Encrypted at rest and in transit
AES-256 on disk, TLS on the wire, and keys encrypted at the application level before they are stored.
Delete means gone
Deleting a dataset or a checkpoint removes it permanently, which is how a data-erasure request is honoured.
One field settles residency
The region is chosen once, when a project is created, and the platform enforces it from then on.
Set data_region on a project and every file, run and checkpoint in it stays in that region. Individual uploads cannot work around it. The platform lists only the regions it operates, and where policy asks for more, the same platform runs in your cloud account or on hardware you control.
